Welcome Message for VISAR in Hong Kong 2012

VISAR, (Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair) has been a successful annual Meeting held in Austria for the past 7 years, bringing together experts from all disciplines who manage aortic pathology to discuss state of the art insights into diagnosis and treatment.
This year, we have the absolute pleasure to invite you to experience VISAR in Hong Kong, a venture which is being jointly organised by colleagues in the Medical University of Vienna, Austria and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, China. As well as continuing in the tradition of bringing together world-renowned experts in cardiovascular surgery and interventional radiology to discuss ‘hot topics’, we very much hope to use this as an occasion to allow interchange of ideas from ‘East to West’ and vice versa.

Hong Kong is a modern and vibrant city; a city of constant change and innovation. In the current era, we think there is no better place than this to host a meeting which will focus on the constant change and innovation which is evident in the management of patients with aortic disease.

We hope you can join us for this exciting venture and enjoy the exchanges and updates between Asia and the West, both academically and socially. We look forward to welcoming you here in Hong Kong for this inaugural collaboration.
